Sacha Cohen Tried To Trick Gun Store Owner, Who Wasn't Having It

WATCH Sacha Cohen's Attempt to Pull a Fast One on a Gun Store Went Down in Flames

Norris Sweidan, the owner of Warrior One Guns & Ammo, caught Cohen in the act with security cameras in his store.

But Sweidan wasn't falling for it.

A gun store owner in Riverside, California is "100 percent positive" actor Sacha Baron Cohen tried to trick him into filming an interview for his fake docu-series on Showtime called "Who Is America?".

The video was provided exclusively to FOX 11.

"He comes in, off the bat you can see [in] the video ..."

"He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I'm looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant, tight ass leather trousers, a beard, it just didn't fit", Sweidan said. Cohen appeared wearing a fake beard and "tight-a** leather trousers", but he didn't make it too far.

Norris said that when Cohen walked in, he thought to himself, "this guy is full of s*it", mostly due to the way he dressed, and the words coming out of his mouth. But it was ultimately Cohen's fake accent that gave him away. Sweidan finished off his interview with Fox 11 and said that if producers and others in Hollywood want a real story, they should just come and talk to them, honestly. "And I just kept looking at the guy and I was like, you're Borat.'" he said, recognizing Cohen from the 2006 film.

After Cohen left the store, his film crew remained and Sweidan attempted to ask them what they're doing.

"We're talking to the people; they don't wanna give us an answer", Sweidan recalled to the station. Have a great day.

In Sweidan's mind, there's no doubt what the guy was gunning to do.

'Once I knew it was Borat, we already know his game and his bull*****, so we knew he's here to make a mockery, and of what? "Gun owners? The gun business? gun shops?" he told Fox.

I'm just saying if Showtime wanted to make a second show about all the people who have recognized a disguised Cohen, I would watch that too.

Van Cleave wrote on the Virginia Citizens Defense League's Facebook page in April that he suspected he'd been duped by "someone like Michael Moore, or, even worse, a Sacha Baron Cohen-esq "Borat"-type of shock comedy meant to be devastatingly embarrassing and humiliating to the victim in the crosshairs".

"You've got some gun advocate holding a bunny on some gun?"
