Titans: Screencaps From The DC Universe Trailer

Titans: Screencaps From The DC Universe Trailer

The trailer is quite graphic with some very adult language and content - definitely not Teen Titans Go! here.

DC Universe streaming service announced their arrival with a bang at San Diego Comic-Con by releasing the first trailer for the Titans series on Thursday. The series was developed by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman, and it looks pretty bad.

But the main take away is how dark and gritty it is, to the point where I started cracking up when Robin said, "Fuck Batman".

Key halts the Caped Crusader, saying, "Have you checked the box office lately, Bruce Lame?"

The DC Universe is DC's swanky new streaming service.

"Those in the United States can pre-order the service via DCUniverse.com for a yearly membership fee of $74.99 (plus tax, if applicable) - which works out to $6.25 a month". When it launches, there will be monthly memberships for $7.99.

The superhero genre is getting yet another TV series to its name and this time with a vigilante Robin taking the helm, who has left his days as Batman's sidekick behind him.

And now with the first official trailer for Titans having released, it looks as though those comparisons were apt. Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) and Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), a special young girl possessed by a unusual darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth.

Starfire, Beast Boy and other characters make an appearance in the trailer to let the audience know they too are a part of this new retelling.

They're all attending "Hall of Heroes", a high school for superheroes.
