Demi Lovato focuses on sobriety after overdose

Demi Lovato focuses on sobriety after overdose

"I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction", she said.

"But I did it anyways, and I loved it the first time that I did it". I will keep fighting, ' she wrote.

Since the news broke of her overdose, Lovato has received an outpouring of support from her fans, colleagues, and other Hollywood stars alike.

She finishes by saying. Lovato does not confirm an overdose or that she is entering rehab, but does reference needing "time to heal" and a focus on her sobriety as well as the "road to recovery".

We'll have more soon about where this recovery will take her, to be sure, but it's at least a very encouraging sign for her health that Demi and her team were able to release a statement like this at this point in time.

Celebrities have been quick to share their words of encouragement and support for the "Stone Cold" singer.

The star had to be revived with a shot of Narcan, which is used for opioid overdoses, however, Demi did not disclose to authorities which drug she'd been using.

Struggling with addiction is a hard battle but if anyone who can fight, it's Demi. I've relapsed many times. "One day at a time".

Lovato, who canceled a show in Atlantic City that had been planned for 2 days after her hospitalization, suggested that she may not be returning to the public eye soon.

The singer, whose hits include "Sorry Not Sorry", was rushed from her home to a hospital by emergency responders.
