Xiaomi Mi A2 launched in India for Rs 16,999

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC.

As for the specifications, the phone sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. However, looking at the worldwide pricing of the phone which was announced to be Euro 279 (about Rs 22,500) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Euro 349 (about Rs 28,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, it can be said that the phone will sell around the same price point only. Xiaomi said that the device will be available on Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home offline stores. The front is protected with a Gorilla Glass 5. While the first Mi A2 flash sale is scheduled for August 16, fans have the option to pre-order the device starting today, August 9.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Xiaomi Mi A2 runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo, and being a part of the Android One programme from Google, is certified to offer an optimised Android experience and timely updates. The antenna placement is meanwhile more in line with how things were on the Mi A1 which means that the Mi A2 is also a metal unibody phone with its antennas located at the extreme ends of the device. Both the camera sensors at the rear have a f/1.8 aperture. The dual camera setup is further assisted by a dual-LED (dual-tone) flash.
