Amazon Debuts Trailer for ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 2

Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the victor of two Golden Globes, two Critics' Choice Awards, a 2018 Peabody Award, a PGA Award, and was nominated by the DGA and Costume Designers' Guild.

Maisel stars Golden Globe victor and three-time Emmy victor Tony Shalhoub (Monk) as Midge's father Abe Weissman, Alex Borstein (Family Guy) as Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen (Boardwalk Empire) as Midge's husband Joel Maisel and Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men) as Midge's mother Rose Weissman. Rose asks in the teaser, as she and Midge flip through magazines in a hair salon.

"Relationships should be private, don't you think?"

"Amen!" Midge replies, as her mother not-so-subtly asks, "So, are you dating?"

Midge may not be ready to answer that question just yet, but she's clearly ready to focus on her budding comedy career. The teaser shows several shots of her on stage, set to Judy Garland's "Get Happy".

Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino (Gilmore Girls) created The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which will hopefully avoid the pitfalls of the sophomore outings of some other acclaimed prestige shows.

Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel seems to deliver more of the same, with Midge trying to establish herself as both a strong, independent single woman and a rising stand-up comedian.

Even with 14 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Brosnahan, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Tony Shalhoub, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Borstein, TMMM doesn't look to be taking anything for granted in a continuous FYC campaign. It looks like the entire family is going to the Catskills, and it is giving us very serious Dirty Dancing vibes.
