Brad Pitt details millions spent supporting Angelina Jolie and kids

Oscar-nominated actors Brad Pitt and Ang

Angelina Jolie is sounding the alarm. all is not well in the money department.

TMZ broke the story, Brad Pitt loaned his estranged wife $8 million to buy a house. a little weird for an actress who has raked in millions for years.

The comments from Jolie's attorney came after Brad hit back following her court filing which alleged he wasn't paying "meaningful" child support for their children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and nine-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Pitt's lawyers say on Wednesday in a two-page document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court that he "adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid significant child support". "Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained. for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file. for the establishment of a retroactive child support order".

Pitt's lawyers said in documents they filed for him that Jolie Pitt's lawyers have made no mention that she had any problems with the amounts he has given her for the children.

Pitt's lawyer, Lance Spiegel, slammed Jolie's claim in her filing, calling it "unnecessary, omits material information, and is a thinly veiled effort to manipulate media coverage". Child support is not optional in California. He calls Jolie's Tuesday request for a meeting specifically about child support "calculated to increase the conflict". Pitt's lawyers state her team asked them to hold for a week, and indicate that Jolie's team chose to file for dissolution, first, on August 7. Neither side specified what those issues were.

Brad Pitt was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation over child abuse allegations involving his oldest child Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt.

Pitt's lawyers answered that Pitt actually suggested expediting the divorce in this way and had already agreed to it.

In Pitt's filing Wednesday, his legal team also asserted the actor informed Jolie (through their lawyers) around the beginning of August he wanted to move forward with dissolving their marriage, termed legally as bifurcation.

Pitt's response said that a status conference that is already scheduled would serve the same goal.

Pitt and Jolie were married for two years and enjoyed a 10-year romance that had made the pair one of Hollywood's most glamorous couples.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been separated since 2016.
