WONDER WOMAN Joins RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET ... Sort Of

Gal Gadot Ralph Breaks The Internet

Gal Gadot has joined the cast of Disney's upcoming animated sequel. And apparently Disney has dropped the Wreck-It Ralph 2 from its title. She'll play a tough and talented driver in an intense and gritty online racing game called "Slaughter Race".

Arcade racer Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) learned in the first Wreck-It Ralph movie that she, too, is a princess, and in the sequel, she gets to hang out with the older, more established royals - and converts them to her casual-clothing lifestyle. Shank, a tough-as-nails street racer, takes her role and her tricked-out auto very seriously and doesn't like to lose. As seen in a rough cut at Disney's D23 Expo past year and in the most recent trailer, Vanellope - voiced by Sarah Silverman - strikes up a friendship with some of Disney's most notable princesses after discovering that - spoiler alert - she, too, is royalty.

"She is the coolest character in this world of Slaughter Race", said director Rich Moore about Gadot's character.

In Entertainment Weekly's first look at a scene in which Princess Vanellope has a little chill girl time with her fellow Disney princesses, we finally get to see what they where when they're off the clock!

These are not your grandmothers' Disney princesses.

"Shank is fantastic at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her". If Ralph is Vanellope's big-brother figure, we wanted a big-sister figure.

"There's so much texture to her voice and so much living in her voice", said director/writer Phil Johnston.

OK, we knew Ralph Breaks The Internet was going to break the 4th wall - we didn't realize it was going to shatter illusions! Featuring Gal Gadot as the voice of Shank, Ralph Breaks the Internet opens in USA theaters on November 21, 2018.
