Lisa Marie Presley Opens Up About Addiction 'Struggle' and Elvis in Rare TV Interview

Discussing the moving chat shortly after with her fellow co-stars, Bush Hager said Lisa-Marie also credited her children; daughter Riley, son Benjamin, and twins Finley and Harper, for giving her objective to fight her addiction.

Earlier this year, court papers relating to the estranged couple's bitter divorce revealed Lisa had confessed to struggling with "painkillers and opioids" during the last three years of her marriage, admitting her cocaine use had gotten out of hand, while she also endured up to five stints in various treatment centres.

Reflecting on her recent battles, said said, "I've come a long way". "And by the way, the struggle in addiction for me started [when I was] 45 years old". It was not like it was all my life.

"I am proud. I've come a long way".

The star explains even her counsellor couldn't believe how deeply she had fallen into addiction: "My therapist, she's like, 'You're a miracle..."

"I'm not ideal, my father wasn't flawless; no one's ideal", she said.

"I'm not flawless, my father wasn't ideal, no one's flawless", she admitted. "It's what you do with it after you learn (your life lesson) and then you try to help others with it".

Her struggle with the harmful substances was not the only topic of the interview that aired today.

Lisa Marie was the sole heir to her father's $100 million fortune.

The daughter of music icon Elvis Presley reveals she is very "proud" of her recovery after years of drug addiction.

Joel Weinshanker, the co-producer of the project, said that the album was so meaningful to Presley that she broke down in tears while recording her part for a duet with her father. It sort of grounded me in the middle of a never-ending tidal wave. "It kind of came down and grabbed me".
