Omarosa Says Donald Trump Is Trying To Start A Race War

Omarosa Manigault Newman is the latest former White House employee to publish an insider memoir about her time working with Donald Trump and it includes incendiary charges of racist language used by the president

Manigault Newman landed in Washington D.C. on Saturday to kick off a publicity tour for her soon to be released book, "Unhinged", that is chock-full of explosive - though unverified - details about life in the White House.

The former reality television star reportedly writes that Trump played the comments off as a joke, but she says she believes he was serious, according to the excerpt obtained by Slate.

Many across social media are giving Omarosa Manigault Newman the virtual side-eye over her seemingly contradictory statements about Donald Trump's use of the N-word.

Trump was responding to a question from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman about Manigault Newman's tell-all memoir that was announced this week. She says when she turned down the offer, she received letters from Trump's lawyers telling her to stay quiet.

President Donald Trump called former White House adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman a "lowlife" Saturday. "It's how I'm going to make great deals for the country".

Manigault Newman, 44, met Trump in 2004 when she was a candidate on the American version of The Apprentice, which he hosted. Just think how many copies I'd sell - maybe a commemorative inauguration copy!'

In the book, Manigault Newman painted the president as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure.

She writes, "I rejected what other people said about him because they didn't know him like I did".

As reports of accounts inside the book leaked out, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders slammed Manigault Newman as a "disgruntled former White House staffer" whose book is "riddled with lies and false accusations". While she doesn't provide direct evidence, she cites three unnamed sources who attest to the existence of the tape.
