Antonio Brown Wasn't At The Steelers Facility For Monday Meetings

Members of the Steelers organization do not know why Antonio Brown did not show up with teammates for meetings and film review Monday, coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday.

There are no reports that Pittsburgh actually wants to trade Brown, but that's obviously not a good sign when your best offensive player doesn't show up to work.

Now, it's being reported that Brown was not with the Steelers on Monday.

During his news conference on Tuesday, Tomlin gave a roster evaluation of the Steelers' next opponent, the 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and when he was asked about Brown, he did not give many details on why the 30-year-old was not present on Monday.

Brown's absence on Monday came on the same day that he had tweeted, "Trade me let's find out", in response to a critic who suggested Ben Roethlisberger is the reason why AB's numbers are so high. "I'll leave that between he and I", Tomlin said, per Bouchette. "I'm not going to get into the details, whether he was excused".

Head coach Mike Tomlin walked to the podium to address the media on Tuesday, where he refused to state the reasoning for Brown's absence and whether it was excused or not.

While Tomlin was not directly asked if Brown has been suspended by the team, he was asked if Brown requested to be traded and said, "No".

In the Steelers' 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2, Brown had nine receptions on 17 targets for 67 yards. Brown was visibly upset on the sidelines towards the end of Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, and did not stick around long in the locker room after the game.

After the game, Brown was nowhere to be found during the 45 minutes the locker room is open to media.
