Red Sox-Yankees starting time switched to 7:05 pm

Hurt when hit by a pitch, Judge was activated Friday and played two innings in right field that night without going to the plate.

Aaron Judge is returning to the New York Yankees' starting lineup for the first time since breaking his right wrist on July 26.

The Red Sox magic number for winning the A.L. East is two, meaning they'll take the crown - their third consecutive division title - with one victory over the second-place Yankees. The Yankees, meanwhile, are trying to retain their lead in the AL wild-card standings over Oakland.

Earlier today, the two-time all-star lofted an opposite-field homer during a series of simulated plate appearances against a Yankees minor leaguer. It was the second time in as many days that he faced live pitching, after having 11 at-bats off three pitchers.

The Red Sox and Yankees were scheduled to play at 1:05 p.m. ET Tuesday, but the game has been pushed back to a 7:05 p.m. start with rain expected throughout the afternoon.
