Human and Mosquitoes Test Positive for West Nile Virus in Brazos County

This is Delaware's first West Nile-related death since 2012, when a 76-year-old New Castle County woman died from the disease.

Greene County Health Department Environmental Health Specialist Mark Miller says a pool of mosquitoes in the county has tested positive for West Nile Virus.

Martha Marquez, Harris County Mosquito Control spokeswoman, said mosquitoes with the West Nile Virus have been discovered around Burnet Bay near the Lakewood subdivision, along Main Street, on Ward Road and Cedar Bayou Road.
