PayPal is the latest company to ban InfoWars

Payment processing giant PayPal has cut off the account of Alex Jones-the latest in a long line of technology companies to cut ties with the radio host and online provocateur.

PayPal has given Jones' site, Infowars, 10 days to find a new payment processor.

In an announcement on Friday, PayPal says that it has ended its business agreement with the right-wing conspiracy site and its related websites.

"We've made a decision to end our relationship with Infowars websites, including PrisonPlanet", a PayPal spokesman said.

The PayPal ban caps off a string of deplatforming efforts against Jones that have included removals from Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, and Linkedin, among others. Jones is known for spreading false allegations such as that the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in CT was a hoax. However, the platforms have not always been very specific about which of Jones' many inflammatory comments have crossed the line into hate speech.

Additionally, he has gone after the LGBTQ community, and according to their reporting this played a part in PayPal deciding to cut ties.

In 2010, PayPal suspended an account tied to the whistle-blowing service WikiLeaks that collected donations, saying at the time that the account operated in "violation of the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which states that our payment service can not be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity". That decision came after the US government criticized WikiLeaks for posting thousands of secret government files.
