Samsung India launches Galaxy A7 with triple rear camera starting Rs 23990

Chances are that we'll never see the P-series launch in the West, where penetration of in-display readers is fairly low (at least until the new Galaxy S phones launch in a few months). It will be available in Gold Millenial, Premium Black and Striking Blue colour variants.

Samsung is offering cash back worth Rs 2,000 on the smartphone when buyers make payment through HDFC bank credit and debit cards.

The device is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery and runs the Android Oreo operating system. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Samsung online store, and the Samsung Opera House on Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28, before being made available via other offline channels.

The smartphone will feature a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and two storage options - 64GB and 128GB.

Powering the Galaxy A7 is a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 processor.

Galaxy A7 range is priced at Rs 23,990 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The triple-camera setup includes a 24-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

Up front, the Galaxy A7 comes with a single 24MP front-facing sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Consumers can try bokeh effect selfies with Selfie Focus, and mimic professional studio lighting with Pro Lighting Mode. It supports expandable storage up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. The sensors on board the handset are accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, RGB light sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 159.8x76.8x7.5mm.

Just because you spent a packet on a new flagship device doesn't mean it will be perfect.Luckily, you can use software and some hidden tweaks to bring back something that you miss or add a feature you can't live without.
