Huawei Mate 20X: gaming smartphone with a HUGE 7.21-inch LCD

Huawei Mate 20

The company is teasing that it is hosting an event in London on October 16 for the new Mate 20X smartphone with a tease of #HigherIntelligence (so expect AI technology of course) and the #UltimatePerformance. The Mate 20 Pro has now been spotted on a benchmarking website, and unsurprisingly, the numbers hint at a powerhouse of a device.

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL handsets should arrive tomorrow, but those who wait might get a better deal in the shape of the Huawei Mate 20.

Yesterday, we embedded in the article Huawei Mate 20 impresses in Antutu, can run National Basketball Association 2K18 at 60fps a video shared by a Huawei executive showing one of the Mate 20 devices hitting 60 frames per second on National Basketball Association 2K18.

The resolution of the upcoming smartphone according to the leaked information is 2240 x 1080. The Huawei Mate 20 does not feature facial recognition and the front-camera is a regular individually installed unit. With most flagship Android devices scoring close to the 290,000 mark, it just shows that the new Kirin 980 SoC is more powerful than the Snapdragon 845 chipset. Also, the base model of the device will offer 64GB onboard storage and the higher-end variants will feature 128GB, 256GB and 512GB onboard storage. Instead there should be a rear placed fingerprint sensor that sits under the back camera.

The leaked renders reveal that the Huawei Mate 20 will feature a square-mounted camera module consisting of three camera sensors and a dual-LED flash. The Huawei Mate 20 will be fuelled by a huge 4,000mAh battery.

The Mate 20 Pro was spotted on AnTuTu, and it has managed to score a total of 313,561 across various tests.
