McConnell to AP: 'Nobody's going to beat' Murkowski

Protestors outside the Supreme Court ahead of Justice Kavanaugh's official swearing-in

The Kentucky Republican told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday that that it would be "very, very hard to unseat the president in the primary". Jeff Flake of Arizona, are considering challenging Trump in 2020. When asked by the New York Times for a comment, White House communications director Bill Shine said, "Not today".

"I'm doing rallies and people are loving that man and loving that choice", he told the police audience.

Grassley, in an interview with Fox News' Martha MacCallum on Tuesday, said he'd adhere to a "pledge" he made back in 2016 during the stalled confirmation process of Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.

He says that "under historic scrutiny", Kavanaugh was "proven innocent".

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is warning Democrats to think carefully about "presidential harassment" if they win the majority of the House. "I'm proud she's in the Republican conference", he added.

Sporadic protests have continued throughout Washington DC, and Clinton urged Democrats to reject calls for civility until Republicans are driven out of office. "We're committed to helping the president try to get the wall funding". "I think it's an insult to the American public". "We've always had that", though in general "it clearly is wider than it used to be". He emphatically denied the allegations. It comes just in time to motivate evangelicals and social conservatives to turn out to vote in November elections that will determine control of Congress. It's hard to recruit senators of either gender for the committee, he said. He says "the controversy ironically produced an adrenaline shot" among Republicans.

Yet Murkowski, ever the ally of the Left, wavered and voted with the Democrats to stop Kavanaugh's confirmation from going forward.

In August, a CNN/SSRS poll found that Brett Kavanaugh was the most unpopular Supreme Court nominee in modern American history, with 40 percent of Americans opposing his nomination, and only 37 percent supporting it. "They're a credit to the country and the Senate", Kavanaugh said.

President Trump announced during a a political rally in Iowa Tuesday that his administration will allow year-round sales of gasoline with higher blends of ethanol, a perk for farmers anxious about Trump's trade wars and a setback for those concerned about the effects of ethanol on the environment.

Kavanaugh has denied the claim and others that later surfaced.

Kavanaugh will be closely scrutinized from his first day on the bench.

Seconds later, the president's supporters started the familiar "Lock her up!" chant.

McConnell said he doesn't agree and pointed to the fact that Murkowski had won re-election as a write-in candidate in 2010.

"Thank you for USMCA and Mr. President thank you for the year-round E15, our farmers thank you, our Iowans thank you", Reynolds told the crowd during her remarks. "Nobody's gonna beat her".

The ceremony took place in the East Room - the same location where the President first announced Kavanaugh's nomination 13 weeks ago. She voted "present" in the actual confirmation vote.

Kavanaugh had been accused of sexual misconduct in high school and college.
