Melania On #MeToo: We Should Support Men, ‘Not Just Women’

ABC News reporter Tom Llamas interviewed Melania Trump during her trip to Africa for a "20/20" special to air October 12. I do stand with women.

First Lady Melania Trump says #MeToo victims who were sexually abused by men should only come forward if they have proof.

"We need to have hard evidence that, you know, that if you are accused of something, show the evidence", she said.

"They need to be heard", she said.

President Trump, who has also been accused by numerous women of sexual misconduct, sided with his nominee by calling the claims a "hoax" and saying, "It is a very scary time for young men in America, where you can be guilty of something you may not be guilty of".

'We need to support them, and also men, not just women.

Appearing on ABC News on Wednesday, The First Lady said: "It's sad to see that organizations and foundations I want to partner with choose not to because of the administration and I feel they are choosing the politics over helping others". In Egypt, she told reporters that Kavanaugh was "highly qualified for the Supreme Court", but added that she was pleased that accuser Christine Blasey Ford "was heard".

After describing how she was being blackballed, when Llamas asked her to name names she said: "I would not talk about it, they know who they are". Kavanaugh denied those, as has Trump. Because sometimes the media goes too far and the way they portray some stories [that are] not correct. He has called them all liars.
