Razer cuts Blade pricing by $300

Razer cuts Blade pricing by $300

Starting at $1,899, the Blade 15 is not exactly cheap. Razer isn't gimping the hardware for the new price point, either. (The new model's full dimensions measure at 0.78 by 13.98 by 9.25 inches.) To cut costs, Razer also swapped out the original Blade 15's cooling mechanism, a vapor chamber, for a traditional heat pipe. If you prefer having that extra SSD space, $1,800 gets you 256GB of SSD and 2TB of hard drive space as well - as per PCGamer. Understanding that gamers have different budgets and tastes, Razer is introducing a new Razer Blade 15 Base Model for the budget conscious.

However, if looks are more important than saving a few bucks, then the "Mercury White" Limited edition wraps things in a familiar-looking greyish tone and un-lit Razer logo on the lid that won't seem so out of place amid a sea of MacBook Pros.

Although the new dual-storage model is a little thicker, it actually weighs a little less than the single-storage version, but you'll still get up to six hours of battery life.

The Razer Blade 15 Mercury White Limited Edition has been priced at $2,199 (approximately Rs. 1,63,300) for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (Max-Q) model and $2,599 (about Rs. 1,93,000) for the one with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (Max-Q) graphics. You do have to pay for the privilege of the new design though, with even the cheapest costing as much as $2,200. The keyboard has a single lighting zone for everything, so while you still get millions of color options, you can only view them one at a time. This one carries a more premium price tag though, to reflect a burlier collection of hardware.

The Razer Blade 15 Dual Storage edition is available October 10, and starts at $1,599 for a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD.

The new dual-storage models are available now in the US, Canada, and China, and will ship in several European and Asia-Pacific countries next month. "We listened to feedback from our fans and we have expanded on that experience with a new colour option, Ethernet capability, more storage configurations, and a more affordable price". It will be available for purchase starting October 10 in US, Canada, China across Razer.com and select retailers.
