Tata Motors launches new Tigor at starting price of Rs 5.2 lakh

Tata Tigor Facelift Launched

The 2018 Tata Tigor (facelift) should help the company tap the surge in new vehicle sales during this year's festive period. Following a few online teasers and spyshots from dealerships, not much was left to imagination regarding upgrades that are seen in the vehicle now.

The refreshed Tigor comes at a price of Rs 5.2 lakh to Rs 7.38 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi that is marginally higher than its predecessor but delivers strong double digit value to the customers. Watch the TVC below.

The highlights of the refreshed exterior styling include updated headlamps with square chrome elements, clear-lens tail-lights, and a shark-fin antenna. There's also a new Egyptian Blue paint option on offer.

Tata Motors had launched the Tigor compact sedan competing against Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and others in March 2017. What stays under the hood, still stays there. The Tigor is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. The 1.05-litre, 3 cyl Revotorq diesel engine returns 69 bhp and 140 Nm torque.

2018 Tata Tigor also gets a fully automatic temperature control and an updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with features like Bluetooth, Android Auto, Fast Charging and many more.

Additional features on the Tigor XZ+ include faux-leather upholstery, driver's side seat-height adjust, power-folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators and a shark-fin antenna. The music system comes equipped with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. The petrol engine will be available with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes, while the diesel comes with a 5-speed manual only.

Dual front airbags are offered as standard across all variants, while the top variants get ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control. Take a look at detailed photos below.
