6 extremely surreal moments from Kanye West's meeting with President Trump

President-elect Donald Trump and Kanye West pose for

Kanye West not only gifted President Trump with a pair of Yeezy's in a size 12, but he also gave him a custom "Make America Great" hat, leaving out the "Again" in Trump's campaign slogan, TMZ reports.

It was a particularly Trumpian spectacle.

West's first visit to Mr Trump was at his eponymous Manhattan skyscraper in 2016, a month after he won the election, but this was the rapper's first trip to the White House.

His stump speech includes repeated boasts about record low unemployment for African Americans and he is touting the need for reform of the prison system, where blacks are about 38 per cent of inmates, despite being only 13 per cent of the U.S. population.

"If ain'time I would've been in there wit you and you behaved that spinelessly in my presence, I feel that I'd be compelled to slap de'Fuq outta you bro For the People", T.I. added.

People quickly took to Twitter to defend the Man of Steel, who would obviously be against things like tax cuts for the rich, detaining immigrant children, and all the toxic racism and sexism that spews out from the White House. Some are, well, not able to be adequately described in words.

There was the headline-making quote about how West claimed he's sleep deprived and not bipolar.

Trump and West previously appeared together shortly after Trump's 2016 election in the lobby of Trump Tower in NY. Brown, a civil rights leader, has met Trump previously.

"I love Hillary", he said, "I love everyone, right?"

During a meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday, the Grammy-winning rapper unlocked his iPhone simply using the passcode "000000", apparently to show the president an animated GIF.

West also argued that Mr Trump deserved more respect, saying, "If he don't look good, we don't look good". The New York Times initially revealed the details of West's visit, purportedly to discuss prison reform with Jared Kushner and Chicago job creation with President Trump.

"I'm standing in this spot, I love this guy!" "He is my brother", West wrote.

West is married to reality television star Kim Kardashian West, who successfully pushed Trump to grant a pardon to a drug offender earlier this year.

The filmed interaction between West and Trump was mostly the rapper speaking and the president sitting back silently, allowing West's thoughts to flow out loud. But West himself had a caveat: "Only after 2024". Today is the big day and Kanye brought football legend Jim Brown with him for a riveting chat.
