What is known about the participation of Bulgaria in the Eurovision song contest?

The contest will be held on 8 and 9 February and broadcast live on SBS at 7.30pm on 9 February.

But a dramatic new strategy will be deployed for Australia's participation in the 2019 Eurovision song contest.

There are no restrictions on the number of songs composers and songwriters, both published and unpublished, can submit.

SBS has announced it is on the lookout for an artist and a song to represent Australia on one of the biggest stages in music.

In addition to the direct costs in preparing their contestants, participanting countries also each share part of the overall cost of the Eurovision song contest, which this year amounts to 5.3 million euro, according to the statement. Can we back it up with another worldwide smash hit?

"I can't wait to be part of the first ever Eurovision selection show in the Southern Hemisphere and find the next Aussie classic, up there with the likes of Farnsy's You're the Voice, Braithwaite's The Horses or my personal favourite, the seminal debut single from Bardot, Poison", said Creasey.

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, hosted in Lisbon, Portugal, saw Netta Barzilai crowned the victor with Toy; the Billboard chart-topping dance track written by Doron Medalie and Stav Beger.

"The writers get to put their work forward for judging and then we all get to go along and see the finalists and help to select the final representative for Australia, to go to Israel in May", she said.

"It's over to you Australia - let's give Europe our best!"
