Jose Mourinho dismisses reports of Real Madrid return

Jose Mourinho says he is "happy" at Manchester United and wants to "see out" his contract at the club after being linked with a return to Real Madrid.

Reports in Spain have claimed Mourinho is seen by Real as a replacement for Julen Lopetegui following the European champions' disappointing start to the season.

Real Madrid narrowly avoided setting a new club-record goal drought as they fell to their fourth defeat in five games with a 2-1 loss to Levante at the Bernabeu.

Mourinho, whose current contract at United will end in 2020, spent three years with the Champions League title holders during his time at the Spanish capital before leaving the Los Blancos in 2013 to Chelsea.

And when asked if he was happy with Paul Pogba's development under his management, Mourinho provided a brusque response, insisting he did not want to speak about individuals and stressing his commitment to the task at Old Trafford. All I think about is Manchester United'.

"They are more than contenders to win the Champions League in my opinion".

With Real Madrid struggling so badly, many have stated that Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the club this summer is the main reason behind their poor form. "I would like to stay after my contract runs out as well". "I don't think he deserves to be sacked".

United boss Mourinho also revealed Alexis Sanchez is out of the match with Juventus.

"If you throw out the coach, you would have to throw out all of us, as it is the players who go out onto the pitch to play".

"Contradictory feelings after Chelsea, what I told them is they have to get the best out of the feelings", he added.
