Teresa Giudice on coping with her husband Joe's deportation: 'I have to stay strong'

As for her daughters, Teresa claims they know she is doing everything in her power to make Joe stay in the United States of America, where he belongs.

'Adults can handle anything.

There is some drama with one of the new Housewives, though. It's hard for children to go through this.

Teresa is letting the good, the bad and the ugly play out on "Real Housewives of New Jersey" - and she's not here for the haters! "I want my daddy to come home"'.

Last month an immigration court ruled that Joe, real name Giuseppe, should be deported to his native Italy after his prison sentence. 'His dad became an American citizen before he was 18 and then his mom did it after he was 18 and I don't know why they never made him an American citizen'.

While Teresa said Joe is "being very positive" behind bars, he's not set to get out until March 2019, and will be sent to Italy once his sentence is up.

Asked if she was angry with Joe, for not applying for citizenship himself, she said of her husband of almost 20 years: 'He and I never thought I'd be in this position'. Of the girls, Teresa said 17-year-old Gia is "like the rock of her sisters", while 12-year-old Milania has been "having a hard time".

But, she said: 'I have to stay strong. "I have four attractive daughters and they need their mommy".

It's unbelievable to see the mother of four, who is taking this journey "one day at a time", stay so strong for her daughters.

Teresa was "shocked" when she heard the news from Joe himself, elaborating, "I didn't expect that at all... he has been here since he was 1 years old and it's a white-collar crime and he's done his time; I don't understand it all". If you asked me when I started the show, I used get that question all the time, 'Where do you see yourself five years for now?' Successful. I don't live in the future.

The couple plan to appeal the deportation, however if they fail, Teresa says they will be: 'Just taking it one day at a time, that's it'. "We keep saying that [Joe]'s at work, but I'm sure she hears", Teresa said, adding that Audriana hears when her father's incoming calls come from a federal correctional facility.

Teresa Giudice, 46, isn't cutting cameras out of her life now that Joe Giudice, 46, is facing deportation.
