Former Cowboy Dez Bryant agrees to deal with Saints

Dez Bryant and Jerry Jones will get to see each other again on Nov. 29

A person familiar with the situation says free-agent Dez Bryant and the New Orleans Saints have agreed on contract terms that will add the former Cowboys star to one of the NFL's top offenses.

The Saints will visit the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on November 29.

Despite all that, there doesn't seem to be any animosity between the Cowboys and Bryant.

Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley also tweeted his congratulations at Bryant.

And the news of Bryant's arrival in The Big Easy was met with excitement in the Saints' locker room.

New Orleans appears to be all-in on a Super Bowl run, with 39-year-old quarterback Drew Brees having one of the best seasons of his career as the Saints continue to make aggressive moves to fill holes in the lineup. "Right when I got here, he took me under his wing".

Bryant ended his eight-year career with Dallas as the franchise's all-time leader in receiving touchdowns with 73.

The Saints are now 7-1 and the top-scoring offense in the NFC.

After the three-time Pro Bowler's production dipped last season - 69 receptions for 838 yards and six touchdowns - Bryant was released by the Cowboys with two years remaining on a five-year, $70m contract.

Bryant retweeted a person congratulating him on landing with the Saints, who lost receiver Ted Ginn Jr. for the year. I think at the start of the season, we weren't in that position, and then all of a sudden a couple of guys get nicked up and there becomes a place for him.

Bryant, 30, previously held a featured role with the Cowboys, but that won't be the case in New Orleans. Let's break down Bryant's value and that of the rest of the relevant players in the Saints' offense.

Rapoport initially said, "One second", but a moment later just picked up his young son, Jude, and put him on his lap as he continued to talk. "It seems like a real good opportunity for him and I know it'll help their team".
