Trump clashes with CNN reporter

President Trump Berates Jim Acosta Tells April Ryan'Sit Down! During Heated Press ConferenceMore

Fox News Digital Politics Editor Chris Stirewalt said that CNN reporter Jim Acosta was actually helped by President Trump when the White House suspended his pass to access the compound Wednesday night.

As US President Donald Trump answered questions from the press following his speech about Wednesday's midterm results, his turbulent relationship with some media outlets was evident.

US President seemed to walk out as the reporter clung to the microphone and persisted with questions about the president´s views on a caravan of Central American migrants making its way to the US border.

Mr Acosta, chief White House correspondent for CNN, was called a "rude, bad person" by Mr Trump at a press conference on Wednesday.

Acosta was called "rude" by Trump who added that the way the reporter treats White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was "horrible". "It's ironic, Jim, that not only you and the media attack the president for his rhetoric when they frequently lower the level of conversation in this country".

"They are not only risky, they are disturbingly un-American", the network said. Eventually Trump had to walk away from the microphone because Acosta wouldn't stop creating a spectacle.

"When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people". "You and I have a difference of opinion", he said.

The fact that CNN is proud of the way their employee behaved is not only disgusting, it's an example of their outrageous disregard for everyone, including young women, who work in this administration.

"It's a different thing", said Trump. In subsequent tweets, he explained that Secret Service agents working at a White House access point asked him to surrender his credential - known as a "hard pass" - to enter the grounds. You are a rude, awful person.'14. After delivering prepared remarks, he fielded questions from reporters for almost 90 minutes on Wednesday, asserting the results marked a win for the GOP, defending his impact, and expressing eagerness to work on bipartisan legislation with House Democrats. She said that "on the campaign trail, you called yourself a nationalist". He was promoted to national political correspondent in 2012, then made the senior White House correspondent in 2013.

"Just sit down please", he said to Acosta, who tried to ask another question.

"You're a very rude person".

Later, via Twitter, she said that she has interviewed white nationalists who say they are more excited by Mr Trump than they have been about other presidents. The White House has accused him of provoking confrontations, and he, in turn, has become a favorite target of insults lobbed by Trump's supporters, particularly during the president's raucous rallies.
