Facebook management apparently ordered to ditch their iPhones for Android

A vengeful Mark Zuckerberg reportedly ordered his staff to get rid of their iPhones in favor of Android phones after having a public spat with Apple CEO Tim Cook. Classy

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly told the Facebook management team to drop their iPhones for Android devices.

Thus, companies whose model relies mainly on boosting audience engagement to pay the bills with eyeballs on as many ads as possible are in a much more precarious position privacy-wise, claimed Tim Cook, and that obvious truth apparently didn't sit well with Facebook's CEO.

The said ecosystem has been contributing to Apple's bottom line in leaps and bounds lately without having to open it to third-party personal data scrubbers like Facebook or Google sometimes do.

"We're not going to traffic in your personal life", Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive, said in an MSNBC interview. As a result, it was reported that Mark Zuckerberg had ordered his top execs at Facebook to use only Android phones.

According to a report by the New York Times that gives a detailed account of what went inside Facebook following the Russian interference and the company's subsequent handling of the Cambridge Analytica controversy, Cook's comments angered Zuckerberg.

Cook has made critical comments about the 87 million Facebook users who had their data unknowingly accessed by a political firm.

Which iPad is right for you? We don't know if the latter is true - Facebook keeps that information under lock and key - but it's likely to be the case, given Android's market share and Facebook's global popularity.
