IPL Auction 2019: KXIP release Yuvraj Singh, 10 others

Finch is among the 11 players released by the franchise

Australian limited overs captain Aaron Finch, 2011 World Cup victor Yuvraj Singh and left-arm spinner Axar Patel are the big names who have been released by the franchise. Apart from Yuvraj and Finch, they have let go off Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, Barinder Sran, Ben Dwarshuis, Manoj Tiwary, Akshdeep Nath, Pardeep Sahu, Mayank Dagar and Manzoor Dar. "A lot of factors came in while retaining the players". "Mayank Agarwal and Ankit Rajpoot will be the uncapped players that will be seen in Season 12 as well".

The other players, who have been released, include Ben Dwarshuis, Mohit Sharma, Barinder Sran, Manoj Tiwary, Manzoor Dar, Akshdeep Nath and Mayank Dagar were also released by the franchise.

Young Indian players Shreyas Gopal, Krishnapa Gowtham and Sanju Samson have also been retained.

This leaves KXIP with at least eight more spots to complete the squad, which will be addressed in the player auction ahead of the next season. "We are grateful for their exceptional effort during the tournament last season and wish them success in their future endeavours, whilst they will always continue to be part of the extended Royals family". Amongst the foreigners who've been retained is West Indies' opening great Chris Gayle, South Africa's David Miller, Australian pacer Andrew Tye and Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rehman.

Traded: Marcus Stoinis for Mandeep Singh.
