President Trump Claims Voters Change Clothes to Cast Multiple Votes

In a week where he's repeatedly tweeted attacks on the perfectly legal and democratic recount process now taking place in Florida, Trump talked to conservative outlet The Daily Caller and spouted a number of outlandish lies about the current state of voting in America.

"If you buy a box of cereal - you have a voter ID", he was quoted as saying. "But voter ID is a very important thing".

President Donald Trump lied in an interview Wednesday about the prevalence of voter fraud, telling The Daily Caller that Republicans were losing elections "because of potentially illegal votes".

"When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles", Trump said.

Trump's remarks about cereal came as he continued to emphasize the importance of voter ID laws in order to prevent alleged voter fraud. Few grocery stores require identification unless a customer is buying something age-restricted, like alcohol or cigarettes. He claimed the same thing following his election as president and has pushed a narrative about illegal votes since the midterm elections last week, where Democrats took control of the House of Representatives. "Sometimes they go to their auto, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again".

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said Democrats wearing disguises and voting a couple of times were responsible for Republican losses in tight congressional elections.

The president has lied about voter fraud before.

When you're going to vote a second time. If you pay for your groceries with a check, you do need to show ID.

Despite the president's claims, election monitors in Broward County, FL have found no evidence of the sort.

Trump claimed then that the system was needed to keep illegal immigrants from voting.

Republicans have suggested that, along with other shortcomings, has contributed to a free-for-all atmosphere in Broward and Palm Beach Counties that is ripe for legal shenanigans and rife with official misconduct.

Over the weekend, Trump asserted widespread voter fraud took place in Florida and said Democrats were "trying to STEAL two big elections", although he offered no proof.

"Oh, she should have been removed - I think she should have been removed in the middle of this mix-up", he said in the interview.
