Redmi Note 6 Pro to launch in India on November 22

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro headed to India November 22

The interface comes loaded with a host of AI centric features which with the help of deep learning AI will be able to predict that app you may load on to your screen next and open it in the background so you don't experience the one-second lag it takes to open an app from the scratch. But Xiaomi is known for doing such things.

An update to MIUI 10 based on Android Oreo is expected to arrive on the Mi Max 2 before the end of 2018 and might even be a beta version.

The same is continuing with the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X this year.

At the back the Redmi Note 6 Pro sports the same dual-camera setup found on the Note 5 Pro, except that it is AI enabled. In a matter of six months, the company sold over five million units of Redmi Note 4 in the sub-continent.

This is the first time when the smartphone market is at par with the feature phone market with each segment contributing 50 percent to the overall mobile phone market, IDC said in a statement.

To recall, the Redmi Note 4 was released in India with MIUI 8-based on Android Marshmallow. The newcomer's flagship ships with MUIU 9 firmware, which is stuck on 2017's Android Oreo.

Xiaomi is set to launch a new smartphone - or will there be two - soon.

Up-to-date global firmware, MIUI 10, isn't yet ready for the United Kingdom yet - although Xiaomi told us it will be forthcoming soon.

The user can download the recovery ROM and flash it using the recovery method if you have not received the update yet.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro does not offer much when it comes to upgrades.

Update: Xiaomi India chief Manu Jain confirmed on his Twitter feed that the new phone is indeed the Note 6 Pro.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will sport a 6.26-incg FHD+ IPD LCD screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and 86% screen-to-body ratio. Today, the company has revealed at least one of these phones is going to be a Note series phone, which is nearly certain to be the Redmi Note 6 Pro that was earlier launched in global markets.
