SpaceX launched satellite on Falcon 9 rocket

SpaceX has come a long way since it started in 2002.

Earlier, Es'hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, announced the safe arrival of Es'hail-2 satellite at the SpaceX launch facility, in preparation for the launch.

Smoothly accelerating as the rocket gulped propellant and lost weight, the Falcon 9 arced away to the east over the Atlantic Ocean, rapidly gaining altitude and slowly fading from view, leaving a crackling roar in its wake. The motor stage is mounted on the bolts, not welded to the structure.

The launch of the Falcon 9 went without a hitch, as the rocket soared to the sky and delivered its payload to the set geostationary transfer orbit 32 minutes after liftoff.

What is Falcon 9?

The payload was a communications satellite for the Middle East, Africa and Europe. In addition to offering Ku-band capacity to support the growing 25.5?E / 26.0°E broadcast neighbourhood, Es'hail-2 also features multi-transponder Ka-band capacity with sophisticated anti-jamming capabilities providing business and government sectors with secure communications across the Mena region.

The rocket experienced some serious problems along the way, but the company's number of successful launches has nearly made them boring over the past few years. Television views provided by SpaceX showed the stage smoothly descending to touchdown about eight minutes and 15 seconds after liftoff. The company already has recovered rocket boosters several times, both on land and on drone ships at sea.

Rocket launch at Cape Canaveral took place on Thursday, November 15, 22.46 CET.

This launch marked Falcon 9's 18th successful launch this year, equalizing the record the private rocket launch company made last year.
