'America's Next Top Model' contestant Jael Strauss dead at 34

Jael Strauss, a contestant on "America's Next Top Model", died of breast cancer-two months after she announced she was diagnosed with the disease, TMZ reported on December 4.

Strauss's passing comes just two months after she revealed she was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Good God! I know a few things to be true: "Miracles are real, [and] recovery is possible for everyone no matter how far gone you think you are", Strauss wrote on Instagram to celebrate the anniversary of her sobriety.

On Oct. 4, the model-actress announced that she had been diagnosed with an "incurable" form of the disease that had spread "aggressively" throughout her body, indicating doctors had only given her a "few months" to live.

She ended the Facebook post with: 'I don't want to die.

"I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013", she said, referring to her second chance after bouncing back from drug addiction.

The model began chemotherapy after her diagnosis but had chose to stop the treatment by Halloween and entered hospice care a couple of weeks later.

In a statement to TMZ, Jael's family and friends said: "The one blessing was that we were able to show her how loved she was before she passed".

The former America's Next Top Model contestant died on December 4 at 11am from incurable cancer after days of being unconscious, TMZ reported. She has just begun chemo, but we do no know how things will play out. Her love and care knew no bounds and she was, simply put, one of the most incredible people I've ever known.

In 2012, the TV star appeared on Dr Phil at the desperate request of her brother Brandon and mother Debbie, who wanted to help her turn her life around.

A GoFundMe page was set up for her. "She brought so much light to people", her family said about her death, according to Entertainment Weekly. So many things I never knew about life or death.

After moving into a hospice she took to Facebook to tell fans about her devastating diagnosis.

But her happiness was cut short following her shock diagnosis two months ago on October 2 when she received news she had terminal breast cancer.

Jael wrote on August 16 about reaching the milestone: 'Today I have 5 years sober.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
