A New Far Cry Game has Been Announced

There's going to be a lot of fallout from this teaser

Are you excited for a post-apocalyptic Far Cry game? The version of the clip that Ubisoft posted on Twitter shows that the new Far Cry release will be offered on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

If you want to get a feel for what a Far Cry game entails, be sure to check out Far Cry 5 at retailers. This new Far Cry game takes place in a reimagined world. Early in the teaser, a nuke detonates, and we see a brief glimpse of what appears to be some sort of cobbled-together, Mad Max-like mechanical crossbow at the very end. In the meantime: did you play Far Cry 5? Given that I enjoyed Far Cry 5 but didn't love its setting, I can see myself really digging this if they do it right. Because of this, it seems likely that whatever this new game is for will be an entirely separate experience rather than just DLC for FC5.

The video is only a short teaser for the full reveal at tomorrow's Game Awards 2018, so we won't have to wait long to find out more details.

So yeah, a Far Cry spin-off or perhaps sequel seems to be on the horizon. No other information was given quite yet, but the publisher did release this teaser trailer. We'll report more on this new project when it is formally revealed at The Game Awards tomorrow night.
