Suns' Booker departs loss to Lakers with hamstring injury

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday

Kyle Kuzma pointed at Luke Walton and nodded toward the basket, which still quivered from Tyson Chandler's reverse dunk amid the Lakers' 40-point second quarter on Sunday.

This season Booker is averaging 24.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds for the Suns, who with the loss Sunday drop to 4-19, worst in the National Basketball Association and tied with Cleveland for the least amount of wins.

Pacific division leaders the Los Angeles Clippers lost late, with a Dorian Finney-Smith tip shot putting the Dallas Mavericks ahead with 34.3 seconds left. He did not return to the game and was replaced by Jamal Crawford in the lineup.

Booker has faced a handful of injuries this season, including a toe injury that forced him to miss Friday's game against the Orlando Magic.

Booker is obviously a huge piece of the puzzle for the Suns, as he leads the team with 24.5 points and 7.0 assists per game this season.

The Lakers are 14-9 and fifth in the Western Conference.

It's been a hard start to the year for Booker and company, with the Suns now sitting at 4-18 after losing seven of their last eight games.

"It actually started before that, we'd been talking when I was in Cleveland, he wanted to pick my brain, talk about how he could get better".
