Matthew Dellavedova could be headed back to Cleveland via trade

George Hill and Matthew Matthew Dellavedova

The Milwaukee Bucks were finalizing a deal Friday to add two veterans and clear their books in the short-term future in a five-player deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards, sources told ESPN.

Cavs fans must be thrilled to have Matthew Dellavedova back in Cleveland. Also, they'll have cap space to sign Khris Middleton when he likely hits free agency in 2019. The team is still working on a trade for guard J.R. Smith, as teams like the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly expressed interest, according to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst, the Milwaukee Bucks are trading Dellavedova to the Cleveland Cavaliers for George Hill. Cleveland will receive the 2022 second-rounder while Washington will receive a 2021 pick.

The move comes a little over a week after the Cavaliers traded Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz for guard Alec Burks and two second-round picks.

Hill, 32, is averaging 10.8 points and shooting 46 percent on 3-pointers, though he missed 11 games with a shoulder injury.

In 13 games played this season, Hill is averaging 10.8 points and 2.8 assists on 26.5 minutes per game. The Australian had been buried on Milwaukee's bench and is averaging just 1.7 points and 2.4 assists in 12 games.

The Cavaliers reunite with Dellavedova, who was a member of the team from 2013-2016. The center underwent surgery to fix a torn ligament in his left wrist late last month.

John Henson has spent his entire career with the Bucks after the organization drafted him 14th overall in the 2012 Draft.
