Davante Adams TD gives Packers walk-off win over Jets

Davante Adams

Despite holding a 35-20 lead late in the game, the Jets could not defeat the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. Bowles, New York's fourth-year coach, blasted the officials when he met with reporters after the game. "I'm super competitive", Rodgers said, via Josh Tolentino of The Athletic. "It was one of those games".

"I thought we were playing two teams", a fuming Bowles said in the wake of his 11th loss for the third consecutive season. "I thought we were playing the Packers and the striped shirts".

Regardless of whether Rodgers plays, the plan for the next two weeks needs to be to play the young players and let them develop.

In those three touchdown drives, the Jets were flagged six times, including back-to-back defensive pass interference penalties with nearly 6 minutes remaining that set up a 1-yard Aaron Rodgers touchdown rush that made it 35-30. But Aaron Rodgers threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams during the first drive in overtime to secure the victory.

"I haven't seen anything like in 18, 19 years in the league", Bowles told reporters. He also added two touchdowns on the ground.

It has been a disappointing season for the Jets, with Sunday's 44-38 loss being the most frustrating of them all.
