It’s Official, Bowsette will Never Happen says Nintendo

Apparently, Nintendo themselves who have "no comment" on Bowsette when interviewed by Japanese website J-Cast News, invented her long before the Internet did. The message reads, "When Toadette finds one of these, she can transform into the super-powered Peachette". Based on this information, it's safe to say that Bowsette won't be made official any time soon. Bowsette was the result of a one-off gag in a webcomic that postulated what would happen if Bowser put on the Super Crown, an item in an upcoming Switch game. Today, we're playing New Super Mario Bros.

Revealed in "The Art of Super Mario Odyssey" is an image of Bowser slinging a hat onto Peach, morphing her into a Bowsette that's far less buxom than we're used to. U Deluxe, a repackaging of the Wii U launch title with all bonus "Year of Luigi" content included, as well as some new features...like a playable Toadette. The possibilities really would be endless.

Of course, Nintendo wasn't about to let the fans dictate their IP, and have updated their New Super Mario Bros. Until an item comes around to mitigate the description of the Super Crown, though, we're stuck with Toadette's transformation into Peachette. Well, Nintendo aren't about to be that company, as they have seemingly ruled out any kind of official introduction of the fan-created phenomenon Bowsette.

So, there you have it, Nintendo's insistence that "only Toadette can use this item!" seems to be created to shoot down fans hopes of seeing Bowsette. U. The game retails for $59.99, and releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on January 11, 2019.
