Transfer: Michy Batshuayi to return to Chelsea

VALENCIA SPAIN- DECEMBER 04 Michy Batshuayi of Valencia looks on during the Spanish Copa del Rey second leg match between Valencia CF and CD Ebro at Estadio Mestalla

This season so far the Spanish side have been struggling in the league, and we reported this week about the precarious position their manager now finds himself in.

Michy Batshuayi is set to return to Chelsea after Valencia chose to cut short the striker's loan.

After becoming a maligned figure last season, the striker was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January where he scored nine goals in 14 appearances.

"Batshuayi's situation is very clear".

"We are negotiating with several clubs an exit for Batshuayi", Alemany was quoted by Metro UK as saying telling reporters.

The Chelsea forward was a disappointment in Spain, scoring only twice in 23 matches for the club.

"We are expecting an exit in the few hours or days".

Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany said there is plenty of interest in the Belgian global. We hope that, for his sake, this can be resolved as soon as possible.

Reports have suggested that West Ham and Crystal Palace are both interested in a man who cost the Blues £33 million in 2016, and a deal with the former could turn out to be a shrewd move if they are indeed trying to sign Marko Arnautovic.

Alemany's assessment heavily implies that Batshuayi will be moving to a different club on loan rather than returning to Chelsea.

Everton have been crying out for a prolific frontman with Cenk Tosun falling out of favour under Marco Silva, and Oumar Niasse deemed not good enough.

Premier League rules do not permit English top-flight clubs to loan more than one player to the same club.
