Aaron Ramsey Agrees To Juventus Deal

Aaron Ramsey Agrees To Juventus Deal

Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, has agreed a five-year deal with Juventus worth £36m and will join the Italian champions on a free transfer at the end of the season, the UK Guardian reports.

Ramsey will leave Arsenal at the end of the season on a free transfer after Arsenal withdrew a contract offer a year ago.

Ramsey will only be second to Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead of conspicuous stars such as paolo Dybala and Douglas Costa in the wage scheme.

Given that Juventus are also looking to bolster their midfield options, with Sami Khedira, reportedly set on leaving soon, the move makes sense.

Ramsey's contract with Arsenal, where he has spent the past ten years, expires in June, and the midfielder was not able to reach an agreement with the club over an extension.

Juventus now sit at the top of the Serie A table but Ramsey's addition could give the squad more depth in the midfield; perhaps enough to make a serious bid for a Champions League title.

Despite making clear his future lies away from the Emirates, Ramsey has continued to play a big part in Unai Emery's first season in charge of Arsenal, scoring three goals in 25 appearances.

"My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is with us", he told reporters.

"We need his performances for us and the last matches I am very happy with him. We can only loan players", said Emery. His future I respect a lot because it is a very private decision.

"Every training day with us he is working very well and I want his behaviour and focus the same for West Ham on Saturday".
