Enes Kanter could be about to leave the New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are discussing a trade that would send center Enes Kanter to the Sacramento Kings for power forward Zach Randolph, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wojnarowski added that nothing is imminent as of yet and that a third team might be needed to help facilitate the deal seeing as the Kings are looking to clean house of veteran, expiring contracts.

New York Knicks may have found a trade partner for the Turkish starWhat's the rumor? Netting Porter in a trade won't come cheap, as the sharpshooting 3-and-D specialist is making over $26 million this season, $27 million next season and $28 million in 2020-21, which is a player option.

But teams have reportedly inquired about Kanter, and the Knicks have listened.

Trading Kanter would be a win for both sides. Offloading Kanter allowed Fizdale to take a closer look at all corners of the roster, which include young big men Mitchell Robinson (recovering from injury) and Luke Kornet. But if the Knicks can manage to sneak Courtney Lee or Tim Hardaway Jr. into a deal, this trade would become a home run.

The Knicks on the other hand want to create space for a superstar in the upcoming summer so they will be busy. He was then traded to the Clippers before playing for the Grizzlies and Kings.

Although Wojnarowski's sources say a Randolph for Kanter trade isn't close, both players should consider preparing themselves for a move prior to the February 7 National Basketball Association trade deadline.

The NBA trade deadline is February 7.
