The Good and Bad of Demarcus Cousins’ Return

The Good and Bad of Demarcus Cousins’ Return

Cousins still hasn't taken the floor for Golden State this season as he works his way back from a major Achilles injury.

Regardless of when Cousins' returns, all we do know is that the fans will be ready. "I just love the style of play that they play with, and so I heavily considered that and I asked them if they would like me there, and they said 'Yeah'".

According to multiple reports, DeMarcus Cousins will be making his season debut on January 18th when the Golden State Warriors fly down to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers.

Kerr said earlier this week he has been impressed by Cousins' recent workouts.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed Cousins was close to playing again, but would not commit to a return date.

Cousins was expected to sign a max extension last summer before the injury.

"The target range for DeMarcus Cousins' debut with the Warriors is the team's upcoming trip to Los Angeles, nytsports has learned".

Cousins has been fully taking part in Warriors practices for several weeks after getting a few full-contact practices in with the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors late last month.

Cousins doesn't need to save the Warriors, but if Golden State fails to win the NBA Finals this season I can't help but think of a scenario when Boogie won't be blamed.

But it remains to be seen if he can have an impact right from the start as he has never played with the Warriors' starting quartet - Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Especially on the block, he's such a handful down there, his ability to play make.
