Perhaps it was all made in good fun, but some passengers were not too appreciative of Delta Air Lines' latest ploy which involved napkins and some "old school" flirtatious prodding.
This time the American company - along with Diet Coke - has had to apologise for handing out "creepy" napkins on flights, encouraging fliers to flirt with other passengers.
On the flipside of the napkin, there's space for a passenger to scribble down their name and digits.
"We rotate Coke products regularly as part of our brand partnership, but missed the mark with this one", a representative for Delta said in a statement. We worked with our partners at Delta to begin removing the napkins last month and are replacing them with other designs'. "You never know..." one napkin read.
Social media users appeared split on them, with some condemning the tackiness of the napkins while others found them to be charming and heartfelt.
'Clever! Love the new napkins @Delta @DietCoke @CocaCola @ATLairport, ' said Ben Startling III.
According to INSIDER, the napkins were a collaboration between the airline and Diet Coke and were handed out on some United States flights. "Not a good look", wrote one passenger on Twitter.
"We are sorry for that and began removing the napkins from our aircraft in January", the airline told Insider.
In a statement, Coca-Cola "sincerely" apologized to anyone it may have offended.
"These napkins are creepy AF", one passenger posted to Twitter. "Sad world, but nice try and not creepy".
One woman thanked Delta for helping out singles, while another said she was disappointed she couldn't take advantage of the napkins on her next flight.
Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and father of White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, even joked that he had received numerous napkins and was flattered.
