Assassin's Creed III Remastered revisits the revolution next month

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, which we already knew was in the works, will be hitting consoles and PC this March, so you can dive right in and see what you've been missing.

In an official press release today, though, the game has been confirmed for PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, and Windows PC. It will be available as a standalone title for $39.99 and as part of the Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass.

Ubisoft has announced that it will release Assassin's Creed III Remastered on March 29, 2019. Interestingly Ubisoft seems to have skipped the Nintendo Switch for this remaster, which seems to now be a platform of choice for remastered game releases.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered: Players will embody Connor, a master Assassin born of the beauty and brutality of 18th-century America. It also has improvements to the game's ergonomics and gameplay mechanics. The Tyranny of King Washington, meanwhile, offers an intriguing alternate reality "Where one of America's greatest heroes, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power".

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered will include Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered, as well as all of the solo DLC content. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. A woman of conviction, Aveline fights for freedom in 18century New Orleans, a city on the brink of a rebellion as the Spanish Empire imposes its new rule. Plus, it wouldn't be the first time "Assassin's Creed III" made its way to a Nintendo platform - a Wii U version came out in November 2012.
