Igbos Will Lose If They Don’t Vote For Buhari, Says APC

Atiku-Abubakar

NAN reports that Buhari, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the February 16, Presidential Election, is coming to Lagos, the nation's commercial capital, to campaign for his re-election.

The party denied the alleged denial as "part of the last kicks of a dying horse, which the Buhari Presidency now represents".

Addressing a press conference on Saturday in Abuja, the Director Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan said after making payment and obtaining a receipt to use the venue on Saturday, the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA) later invited them to go and collect their money. In Buhari, we have a man who has integrity, who cares for masses and who has your interest at heart.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, called on Igbos to ensure that they cast their votes wisely in the upcoming presidential elections.

The statement added: "It is also instructive to state that we had earlier scheduled our Lagos Mega Rally for the Tafawa Balewa Square on Saturday until the Buhari Presidency and the APC came up with same date forcing our campaign to opt for Abuja".

"Is it not unusual therefore that President Buhari who wants Nigerians to perceive his administration as fighting corruption, will cast a net into the ocean and bring out only corrupt people to run his campaign?"

Buhari and the APC to drag the PDP and the people's candidate to their low level of frustration in order to enmesh the coming election into crisis so as to achieve their self-succession bid.

"We want to place on record, once again that any attempt to rig the February 16 election will be vehemently resisted by Nigerians, across board, who have reached a consensus to rescue their nation from the stranglehold of the Buhari Presidency. We are not stammerers so we do not run away from debate", he said.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sunday took a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that his administration has no moral rectitude to pontificate on corruption.
