Juventus have announced the signing of the Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, on a lucrative four-year deal from 1 July.
Ramsey will earn an eye-watering "basic" salary of £400k per week before tax in Turin, according to the BBC's David Ornstein.
Wales worldwide Ramsey has made more than 250 Premier League appearances since joining Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008, but he failed to agree on a new deal with the London club in the final year of his contract.
The deal will make him Juve's second-highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who earns £500,000 a week.
A move to Juventus could re-energise Ramsey, with the Italian champions a dominant force in Serie A having won the past seven Scudetto titles.
As his contract will have ended, Arsenal will not be entitled to a transfer fee.
The 28-year-old issued his own statement via Instagram.
While Ramsey is unlikely to challenge for a starting position in the attacking unit, the Welshman does have an eye for goal and has hit double figures across a season on three occasions.
Other clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris St Germain, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, were linked with the player. "He has always been a consummate professional and will always have a special place in the hearts and memories of Arsenal fans around the world".
