Nicki Minaj Says She Was ''Bullied Into Staying Quiet'' by Grammys

Nicki Minaj Says She Was ''Bullied Into Staying Quiet'' by Grammys

BET posted a story reporting on Cardi B being the first solo female rapper to win best rap album at the Grammys. Of course the distasteful tweet didn't sit well with Nicki, and she quickly chose to cancel her show with them. In a follow-up tweet, she announced that neither she nor any of the acts on the famed Young Money label would be appearing at June's BET Experience.

"BET loves Nicki Minaj".

It's unclear if Lil Wayne's "I'm with u" is him saying he's canceling his performance as well or just okay with her decision to do so, but we'll probably get a proper statement from Young Money about it in the coming days or weeks. Check out the text (below). We understand Nicki's position and look forward to continuing our dialogue with her. Unfortunately, the respect that we have for Nicki was violated by a post that should never have been written. The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki. And further does not reflect our company values.

The statement continued, "We deeply apologize for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused. We are committed to doing everything we can to address the situation".

In the meantime, the posts have been removed, but Nicki caught sight of them anyway, and her pride will not let her perform at the BET Awards after receiving such shade.

One fan tweeted that Nicki Minaj not having even a single Grammy award makes no sense and wondered what "white man" on the board she'd 'pissed off'. "This should have never happened". While the tweet was swiftly deleted, Minaj's fans flooded the network's social media accounts in support of the rapper. "Summer Tour dates dropping soon", Nicki tweeted before telling a fan that she can get a refund for her tickets to the show.
