Steelers Antonio Brown blows off court appearance

Antonio-Brown-Steelers

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Brown still wants to be traded and the Steelers are hoping to formally begin trade talks at the NFL Combine, which kicks off on February 26.

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was found guilty of a reckless driving charge from November, WXPI-TV reported on Tuesday.

Brown, 30, has been the subject of widespread trade speculation after he failed to show up to work the day before the season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals. There is little doubt there will be interest from plenty of teams wanting Brown's services.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN on January 25 he has spoken to the Steelers to express Brown's "position" but wouldn't divulge details. But Brown wants a trade and he officially has requested that from the Steelers, per source.

With the future of Le'Veon Bell also still very much up in the air, the Steelers could be facing the loss of two of their best players in the coming weeks. He's one of the most talented wide receivers in the National Football League and on the right team could still be dominant.

This wasn't the only news involving the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver, though.

As outlined above, acquiring Brown comes with definite risk but could be a home run for a contender.
