Cardi B Deletes Instagram After Grammys Backlash

Cardi B | Grammys 2019

Cardi B became the first solo female artist to win Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammys on Sunday night, and she got some support from Lady Gaga on Tuesday.

Videos uploaded to her Instagram account showed her screaming with excitement backstage after collecting the gong for her album Invasion of Privacy.

Someone over at BET had to learn the hard way - you do not come for Nicki Minaj unless she sends for you.

Offset and Cardi B shared a tongue kiss on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammy Awards on February 10.

Minaj subsequently announced Monday she was cancelling her appearance at this summer's BET Experience Concert and won't perform at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on June 23.

"We deeply apologise for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused". The network says it will conduct an internal investigation.

But it was too late.

In all fairness, the disparaging posts were likely curated by an intern manning BET's social channels over the weekend, but I expected more from the network that pioneered Black visibility in a time when networks like MTV refused to showcase our talent.

"Oh my god, oh my god", she said before bursting out in tears over the magical moment.

"I'm with u!" he replied.

Cole went on to address not being nominated this year, writing, "I went through a lot of heart break the first half of my career, maybe even longer, cuz deep down I needed that validation that I thought the awards could bring".

Her tour kicks off March 13 at the Beach Bash Music Festival at Isla Grand Resort in South Padre Island, Texas.

Cardi wasn't exempt from online haterade.

BET is in "custodial" mode right now, mopping after a low-level staffer allegedly pushed the send button on the inflammatory tweet.

Talking angrily, Cardi said that she has seen a lot of harsh judgement her way and said that people don't know the hours of hard work she put in for that album. I f****** worked my ass off, locked myself in the studio for three months, my n--, then went to sleep in my own bed, sometimes for four days straight, pregnant.

In response to the drama, Cardi B said she does not support anyone who feels the need to pull someone down to build up someone else. We have apologized to Nicki and her team. With well over a dozen women dancing along with her to the song and a talented pianist centerstage, there was a lot for audience members and fans watching along at home to take in.

Nicki retweeted it with the caption, 'I pi**ed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying.
