Rich The Kid was outside when it all went down, and it appears he was the focus of the robbery. It is unclear whether anyone was seriously injured or suffered gunshot wounds from the incident.

Police are now searching for suspects.

Four hours ago Rich the Kid posted a picture to his instagram page holding wads of cash with the caption "for motivational purposes only".

Pop stars such as Justin Bieber, the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Quincy Jones have reportedly all recorded at Westlake in recent years.

Rich the Kid, a Queens-born rapper, dropped his debut album The World Is Yours previous year.

Usher was in the studio but was not harmed.
