The Breaking Bad movie will reportedly land on Netflix, AMC

Aaron Paul may be reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman

Some wonderful news has arrived for fans of Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad!

Per Deadline, the still-untitled Breaking Bad sequel film that has been discussed in recent months will focus on Aaron Paul's character, Jesse Pinkman, after the events of the beloved AMC series.

Citing sources with close knowledge of the deal, Deadline reports the sequel to the game-changing television series will premiere on the streaming platform before it hits AMC, the show's original network. There's no word yet on when the Breaking Bad movie would start shooting, but it sounds like the project is coming together quickly. Netflix really helped spur the growth of Breaking Bad's audience, so it's only fitting that they should get the feature-length film, but it's cool that AMC will also get to air the movie so that Breaking Bad comes home in a way.

I think Netflix kept us on the air. I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond season two [if not for Netflix].

Breaking Bad lovers are in for more from their favourite meth-head.

Netflix and AMC have a pretty close relationship.

There isn't much known about the Breaking Bad movie at this point, as numerous plot points are being kept under wraps. Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, both of whom have worked with Gilligan on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, are on board as producers. It's unclear whether or not the movie will air as one continuous feature, or get chopped into multiple installments. Bryan Cranston has previously said he's unsure if there's a role for him in the film, but that he's interested in being involved if there is.

"Let's put it to rest", Cranston told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "But I honestly have not even read the script ... there's a question of whether or not we would even see Walter White in this movie", Cranston said.

We're all crossing our fingers that this movie includes everybody's favorite teacher-turned-drug kingpin.

A little is known about the Breaking Bad movie.
