Rahul Gandhi assures 33% quota for women in govt jobs

"The question I have for you, Rahul (more cheering as the student used her first name "pass"), is that the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research faced huge funding problems".

Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed hundreds of students in Chennai as a part of his campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He promised, if the party came into power in 2019, to solve that. Citing a media report, Union minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani said at a press conference that Robert Vadra is "merely a mask" in the controversial land deals and his brother-in-law Rahul Gandhi is the "real face", Irani said, "The country has come to know that the brother-in-law (Rahul) is also involved with his "jija" (Robert Vadra) in this family package of corruption".

The Congress president, who ditched his regulation white kurta and jacket for a grey T-shirt and jeans in this outing, said he was ready to be challenged and to be asked the most hard questions. "Probe Robert Vadra but investigate Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well", he said. Gandhi, who asked the students to challenge him and "make him uncomfortable", also questioned whether the prime minister could stand in a large audience and answer people's questions.

Interacting with women students of a city college, he recalled the day he hugged Modi and said he can not hate him since love "is in the country's grain, every religion, and the Tamil people". "I learnt from Mr Modi".

Addressing a meeting with Congress party workers in New Delhi on Monday, Rahul Gandhi had attacked the BJP government, saying, "These people with 56-inch chest, you would recall, in their previous government, the current National Security Advisor Ajit Doval went in an aircraft with Masood Azhar ji and handed over Masood Azhar there in Kandahar". Your biggest teachers are the people who attack you, the people who abuse you. If they give you hate, and you hug them.
